Day 17 - Confident Trust

Scripture:
"And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose." - Romans 8:28

The Lord Jesus is a great example of care-free living. He understood fully that all things work together for good to those who love God. Whether it was a raging storms at sea, an angry mobs bent on his destruction, or a hungry crowd, he never became uneasy. We never heard the words "What am I going to do?" escape his lips. He faced these daily challenges with confidence. His confidence was always in His Father’s love, care, and provision.

Although at times we see that Jesus himself spoke directly to the stormy circumstances, he always did it in a fearless, confident and care free tone. His confidence was in that fact that his Father was with him. No matter how intense the conflict, or how potentially dangerous the circumstance, he never expressed alarm, distress or concern. He understood that all things worked together for good.

How is it with you? Do you face similar circumstances? Are you ever face with dangerous situations? or intimidated by negative opportunities? How do you respond? Do you cry out for fear as the disciples often did?

Why don’t you become an imitator of Jesus? The next time you are faced with difficult situations, try changing your reaction. Instead of crying out "Lord what am I going to do?" try standing up in the face of it all and trust God. Believing that God is with YOU and be at peace through it all. Knowing this, "....that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose."
