Day 4 - All Things Work Together
Scripture: Have you ever had a devastating experience in your life? I am sure you have. I am also quite certain that there have been singular circumstances in your life, that have caused you to question how they could be working for your good. It is oftentimes difficult to fathom how certain events can possibly be understood as working for our good. However, our lives are not made up of one singular event. Life is made up of a combinations of many events. Good and bad. It is important to see that our scripture verse today does not say....and we know that all things work for good. It does, however, say that all things work together for good. For the believer, those who love God and are the called according to his purpose, God gathers together all things (good and bad) and orchestrates them (together) to work for good. You may at the moment, be caught up in an extremely negative and grief filled moment of your life. Don’t allow such a moment to swallow you up. God (although hard to see now) over time will gather together things in combination with each other, and make them work for good. Therefore, do not be discouraged beloved. The negative moment you are experiencing today, although painful, will produce something good when fitted together by God’s creative hand. The God who created a beautiful sunset can surely make something beautiful of your life. |
