Both top and bottom, beginning and ending of this Psalm are complaints about David's enemies, thus the enemies of God. In the middle we find the nugget tof Truth - vs. 5-10 is the meat. It is a sandwich.
The theme your faithfulness, your righteousness, your justice, your unfailing love. David guides our thoughts back to God's faithfulness in the midst of crisis and calamity. We need to fix our eyes on the solution, not the problem. If we spend all our time thinking about the bad things, the bad people, the badness of the enemy, we will be focused on the problem, not the solution. God is our helper, let's fix our eyes on him.
David guides us into meditation - thoughtful consideration or musing about God's faithfulness.
"It reaches to the heavens, It reaches to the skies." v.5 He preserves both man and beast." v.6b
Let's spend some time today focused on seeing God's faithful hand in the skies. Jesus said, "Even the sparrows…" and "The very hairs of your head are numbered."
Think about that.
