Walk Thru The Bible Genesis 25-50 Genesis - The word means "beginnings." Everything begins here - the creation, the first man, the first sin, the first birth, the first death, first marriage, etc. As you read through the stories of the "beginnings" make note of the "firsts" Genesis is the foundation for the rest of the bible. Its characters and stories will be refered to throughout the rest of the bible. Genesis has many wonderful stories and characters to learn from. It also contains the first promises of God to his people. Be looking for "promises" that God gives to his people. You might want to mark them with a yellow highlighter to make them forever stand out.
