His Word Healed Them
Psalms 107:20
"He sent his word, and healed them,
and delivered them from their destructions."
Firstly, Consider THE WORDS GOD USES
1. He Sent His Word - God sends his word, it is not just there, it is
sent. Isaiah 55 1 Corinthians 11:30 For this cause many are weak and
sickly among you, and many sleep.
2. Healed them - made healthy, took hurts, took defects, - Jehovah
RAPHA - Exodus 15:26
3. Delivered them - let slip away, gave escape, restored favor
4. From Destructions - the pit
(Lamentations 4:20 The breath of our nostrils, the anointed of the
LORD, was taken in their pits <07825>.)

Secondly, Consider we need to be healed of many things
"Emotional, Physical, Spiritual" - Our "Pits"
There are six PITS from which we need to seek healing.
PHYSICAL
1. DISEASE - "all manner of disease"
Psalms 41:8 An evil (bad or serious) disease, say they, cleaveth fast
unto him: and now that he lieth he shall rise up no more.
Matthew 4:23 And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their
synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all
manner of sickness and all manner of disease among the people.
Matthew 9:35 ...and healing every sickness and every disease among the
people.
2. WEAKNESS - "infirmities" (the asphalt pit sticks to you, won't let go)
Luke 13:11 And, behold, there was a woman which had a spirit of
infirmity eighteen years, and was bowed together, and could in no wise
lift up herself.

EMOTIONAL
3. UNBELIEF - he could do no miracle there... because of unbelief.
Matthew 13:58 And he did not many mighty works there because of their
unbelief.
Mark 6:6 And he marvelled because of their unbelief. And he went
round about the villages, teaching. Mark 9:24 And straightway the
father of the child cried out, and said with tears, Lord, I believe;
help thou MINE UNBELIEF.
4. BITTERNESS - " Marah" Exodus 15:23 And when they came to Marah,
they could not drink of the waters of Marah, for they were bitter:
therefore the name of it was called Marah. 25 And he cried unto the
LORD; and the LORD shewed him a tree, which when he had cast into the
waters, the waters were made sweet: there he made for them a statute
and an ordinance, and there he proved them,
SPIRITUAL
5. SINS - "trespasses" Ezra 9:15 O LORD God of Israel, thou art
righteous: for we remain yet escaped, as it is this day: behold, we
are before thee in our trespasses: for we cannot stand before thee
because of this. (Isaiah 59:1-2 Sins have separated between you and
your God.)
6. BACKSLIDING - Jeremiah 3:22 Return, ye backsliding children, and I
will heal your backslidings. Behold, we come unto thee; for thou art
the LORD our God.
Hebrews 12:1 Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so
great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin
which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race
that is set before us,
Scriptures on Healing:
Exodus 15:26 And said, If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of the LORD
thy God, and wilt do that which is right in his sight, and wilt give ear to his
commandments, and keep all his statutes, I will put none of these diseases upon
thee, which I have brought upon the Egyptians: for I am the LORD that healeth
thee.
Psalms 103:3 Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all
thy diseases;
Proverbs 4:20 My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my
sayings. 21 Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the
midst of thine heart. 22 For they are life unto those that find them,
and health to all their flesh. Keep thy heart with all diligence; for
out of it are the issues of life.
Isaiah 53:5 But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised
for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and
with his stripes we are healed.
Jeremiah 8:22 Is there no balm in Gilead; is there no physician
there? why then is not the health of the daughter of my people
recovered?
Jeremiah 15:18 Why is my pain perpetual, and my wound incurable,
which refuseth to be healed? wilt thou be altogether unto me as a
liar, and as waters that fail?
Jeremiah 17:14 Heal me, O LORD, and I shall be healed; save me, and I
shall be saved: for thou art my praise.
Jeremiah 30:13 There is none to plead thy cause, that thou mayest be
bound up: thou hast no healing medicines.
Jeremiah 33:6 Behold, I will bring it health and cure, and I will
cure them, and will reveal unto them the abundance of peace and truth.
Hosea 6:1 Come, and let us return unto the LORD: for he hath torn, and
he will heal us; he hath smitten, and he will bind us up.
Malachi 4:2 But unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of
righteousness arise with healing in his wings; and ye shall go forth,
and grow up as calves of the stall.

unto him all sick people that were taken with divers diseases and
torments, and those which were possessed with devils, and those which
were lunatick, and those that had the palsy; and he healed them.
Matthew 8:16 When the even was come, they brought unto him many that
were possessed with devils: and he cast out the spirits with his word,
and healed all that were sick:
Matthew 9:35 And Jesus went about all the cities and villages,
teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom,
and healing every sickness and every disease among the people.
Matthew 10:1 And when he had called unto him his twelve
disciples, he gave them power against unclean spirits, to cast them
out, and to heal all manner of sickness and all manner of disease.
Matthew 13:15 For this people's heart is waxed gross, and their
ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes they have closed; lest at any
time they should see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and
should understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I
should heal them. (Lamentations)
Matthew 14:14 And Jesus went forth, and saw a great multitude,
and was moved with compassion toward them, and he healed their sick.
Matthew 15:30 And great multitudes came unto him, having with
them those that were lame, blind, dumb, maimed, and many others, and
cast them down at Jesus' feet; and he healed them:
Matthew 19:2 And great multitudes followed him; and he healed
them there.
Matthew 21:14 And the blind and the lame came to him in the
temple; and he healed them.
Mark 6:5 And he could there do no mighty work, save that he laid
his hands upon a few sick folk, and healed them.
Mark 6:13 And they cast out many devils, and anointed with oil
many that were sick, and healed them.
Luke 4:40 Now when the sun was setting, all they that had any
sick with divers diseases brought them unto him; and he laid his hands
on every one of them, and healed them.
Luke 5:17 And it came to pass on a certain day, as he was
teaching, that there were Pharisees and doctors of the law sitting by,
which were come out of every town of Galilee, and Judaea, and
Jerusalem: and the power of the Lord was present to heal them.
Luke 6:19 And the whole multitude sought to touch him: for there
went virtue out of him, and healed them all.
Luke 9:11 And the people, when they knew it, followed him: and he
received them, and spake unto them of the kingdom of God, and healed
them that had need of healing.
Acts 4:29 And now, Lord, behold their threatenings: and grant
unto thy servants, that with all boldness they may speak thy word, 30
By stretching forth thine hand to heal; and that signs and wonders may
be done by the name of thy holy child Jesus.
Acts 5:16 There came also a multitude out of the cities round
about unto Jerusalem, bringing sick folks, and them which were vexed
with unclean spirits: and they were healed every one.
Hebrews 12:13 And make straight paths for your feet, lest that
which is lame be turned out of the way; but let it rather be healed.
James 5:16 Confess your faults one to another, and pray one
for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a
righteous man availeth much.
3 John 1:2 Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest
prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.
